San Salvador

We had a long stopover in San Salvador, the capital of El Salvador, a small country on the isthmus between North and South America. Initially, we had plans to tour the city. But dropped the idea after we learnt that there isn’t much to see in the city and it isnt safe. San Salvador is a tropical country and had a lot of palms, making it look a lot like Kerala, India.

The airport had many handicrafts and curio shops and also free internet access which kept me entertained during the stopovers at San Salvador.

Starting at San Salvador and throughout the trip people were confused as to where we were from! I guess people from India travel less to South America (someone in Peru actually told us so). So most people assumed we were from the South America and would launch into a flood of Spanish till we looked confused or mumbled “No hablo Espanol!”
